Gilbert, Arizona, July 10, 2026 – Rockstar, formerly Virtual Rockstar, today announced a new name and a new service built around it. The change marks the company's shift from a virtual staffing provider to an operational partner for private practice owners in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
The announcement follows a milestone for the company: its 300th virtual assistant placement across more than 170+ private practices nationwide.
"After hiring our 300th virtual assistant, serving more than 170+ private practices across the country, we realized private practice owners needed more from us," said Will Humphreys, founder of Rockstar. "We care for you the way you care for your patients. That meant we needed to do more than provide a great virtual assistant. We needed to solve the specific problems getting in the way of your income, your impact, and your time."
Alongside the new name, Rockstar is launching the Freedom Engine, a service model that pairs its trained virtual assistants with AI. Rather than offering general administrative support, the Freedom Engine targets the specific problems that drain a practice's income, impact, and time back, including insurance verification, collections, front desk operations, and credentialing delays.
"It starts with a virtual assistant and now it's supercharged with AI," Humphreys said. "We call it the Freedom Engine."
Rockstar partners with private practices at a 97% retention rate and reports an average of $20,000 in annual savings per hire compared to in-house administrative staffing. The company's virtual assistants are healthcare-experienced from day one, matched to a practice's specific billing, front desk, and administrative needs, and backed by proprietary playbooks built around the three problems that most often break a practice: clinical turnover, cashflow strain, and administrative burnout.
The rebrand and the Freedom Engine launch are live now at rockstarglobal.com, where practice owners can learn more about the transition and the new service model.
